“It’s a good thing you blew all that money your grandma left you,” I tell my son. We are driving home from yet another round of chemo. We both know he is dying. “Yeah, Mom,” Josh smiles. “We had a fuckin’ blast.”

Maybe the first time weather
has mirrored my heart.
